Sightings: As we were heading out to the dive site, getting ready for our first dive, we spotted some whales. But, they were not close enough for us to go out of our way to see them, so we went on towards the dive. We saw three leaf scorpion fish. Two white, one black. We didn't see the frog fish, so I was glad we got to see three of the scorpion fish. We traveled through the ship, exploring the safe passages inside. During the dive, we could hear the whales that we saw earlier. Towards the end of the dive, I was looking around, hoping we would see them. Their sounds were so loud!!! My tank was vibrating! Sounds are deceiving under water though because it travels six times faster in water than in air, and it always tends to appear that the source is coming from overhead. I was curious though... I figured they had to be so close with that magnitude of a sound!!! Well,we did get to see them again, but it was on our way back to the hotel. I hope one day I will see a whale while I am diving...

Sightings: Visibility was poor, but there wasn't any surge, which was nice. Nautilus is about 150m away from a surf spot, so the swell usually affects the conditions under the water when we dive there. However, it's always interesting. We got to see five different types of nudibranch today. I have never seen a white one in the water, until today. It was fairly large, and white as a pearl. Nudibranch are very unique and always a pleasure to admire.

Sightings: Visibility was very nice today. The ocean had a mysterious deep blue hue, and there were no particles floating through the water. We saw a scorpion fish perfectly blended into the reef. I saw him waddling to a hiding place, then turned my back to get attention from the divers, and when I turned my head back around, I almost couldnt find him! Luckily, I did. They were as shocked as I was to see a fish that was completely disguised as the reefy bottom. We also saw an eel slithering through the coral fingers, and a few puffer fish floating by. I saw some ink floating through the water, so that told me there was an octopus near by, but I couldnt find him. However, we all enjoyed the dive.

Sightings: I absolutely LOVE this dive! Todays conditions were incredible, so I was very excited to share this dive with our customers. We were surrounded by fish everywhere we looked. We swam with a school of barracuda, a school of damsel fish, a school of blue stripe snapper, and a school of bait fish. Honestly, Im not sure what the *bait* fish are, but when a shark is near by, they form a giant ball, aka a *bait* ball. The coral on the YO is absolutely beautiful. Without it, these fish that we love to see would not be here. That is why it is extremely important for divers, fisherman, mariners alike to take care of our ocean! When a diver steps on a coral head, the coral starts to die, which is taking food away from the fish. In Japanese, *kyotsukete* means *be careful*. I always tell my divers to take care for the reef.
