How old do I need to be to dive?
Minimum age to participate in any of our diving programs
or classes is 10 years old.

Olympic quality swimming is not necessary to dive, but you
should be comfortable in the water.
It has been a long time since I dove. Has my certification
expired?
No, certification is for life, but if it has been that long
I would be sure to sign up for a refresher session with your
dive.
Other Questions:
Do I need to be in excellent health to dive?
Everyone will need to fill out a medical statement before
diving with us. If you have any questions should read
the first page
of the 'PADI Medical Statement' in our Forms page. If
you would answer 'Yes' to any of the questions you should
print
out the
form, take it to your physician and have them sign that
it is ok for you to dive. We are not doctors, so we leave
these
questions
to them.
Will I need to rent equipment?
Gear rental is included for all SNUBA and introductory
level dives through the Open Water Diver Courses, see
'Not Certified'
page.
For students of other courses or fun diving customers,
you can either bring your personal gear or rent it.
Can I bring a non-diver along on the boat when I dive?
Yes. Simply let us know ahead of time.
Can Breeze Hawaii pick me up and drop me off at my hotel?
Yes. If you are staying in or near Waikiki on Oahu, or
in a hotel in Kona, we offer a courtesy shuttle.
How long do I need to wait after diving before I can
fly?
The current PADI recommendation is: If you dive only
one day - You should wait at least 12 hrs before flying.
If you
dive
multiple days - You should wait at least 18 hours.
Is there a chance I may get to see whales while I am
there?
Yes, the Pacific Humpback whales begin returning here
in December, and they leave by May. The best viewing
is usually
mid-January
through mid-April. We have even had several whale sightings
while diving!
